Oh no…Why do I feel so tired and exhausted all the time? I am just not able to concentrate or focus on my work! 😰

5 tips to overcome constant exhaustion

1.         Drink water regularly to keep hydrated

Your body needs water for proper metabolism. Lack of water can lead to tiredness, and you may feel lethargic and drowsy. Drink water at regular intervals to stay energetic throughout the day. Consider having fruits and vegetables such as cucumber, pineapple, oranges and tomatoes, that have more water content.

2.         Healthy meals

Healthy meals are repeatedly emphasized in every wellness article, lecture and lifestyle management plan. But how often do we follow this? Small and nutritious meals in 3-hour intervals are recommended. Don’t stuff your tummy. Instead have small meals so your digestive system is not overloaded.

3.         Exercise regularly

Physical activity can help boost the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters called endorphins. Exercise regularly to feel good and reduce stress and anxiety. Long hours of sitting and working on desktops/laptops can exhaust you. If you are by and large in a sedentary job, take regular breaks to move and walk around.

4.         Meditation and Yoga

Relax your body and mind through meditation and Yoga. It’s not just your physical body that you need to care for, but your mental health is of paramount importance for your wellbeing. You can engage in meditation, hobbies or music to relax your mind. Leave all your worries behind and find happiness in the present.

5.         Avoid caffeine and alcohol

Alcohol and caffeine reduce your metabolism and it can impact your sleep leading to drowsiness and exhaustion during the day. Instead drink more water. Instead of highly processed and refined foods, consume natural fruits and vegetables if you feel like snacking.
