Did you know that human beings are a combination of 5 major Elements? Well, the Ancient healing Science of Indian soil, Ayurveda, Classifies the body-mind complex into 3 main Types!

According to Ayurveda, Every Living being is a combination of Air, Ether, Fire, Water, and Earth and is collectively known as Prakriti(Innate Nature) of an Individual Being. Doshas are the biological energy imbalances seen in the human body and mind due to the influence of the 5 Elements. Balancing the Doshas, help preserve good physical and sound mental health. When any one of the elements is out of balance, you may feel sick and unhealthy.  Vikruti is the term used in Ayurveda to describe the imbalance of dosha. Vikrutii is derived from the term Prakruti.

Vata is composed of Space & Air and has the nature of Wind energy

Pitta is composed of Fire & Water and possesses the nature of Fire energy

Kapha is composed of Water & Earth and has the nature of Water energy

As you all know the human cells require adequate nutrients and fluids for the proper body mechanisms. Energy is required to enable the movement of these nutrients and fluids to the cells, to absorb the nutrients, and to maintain the proper structure and functioning of the cells. Vata is the energy of movement, Pitta is the energy for metabolism and Kapha is the energy of Growth and lubrication.

Every individual possesses the qualities of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha but the proportions of each combination will be different making one predominant over the others. Ayurvedic science describes the disease as the result of a lack of proper functioning of the cells due to the excess or deficiency of elements. Body type analysis will help you in understanding the imbalanced doshas and the ways to balance the doshas.
